Sadly, a 55-year-old woman has died following an incident involving a vehicle in Ulverstone.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Victoria and Reibey Streets about 6am, where a woman had been located unresponsive on the roadway beside a Ford Territory.

The woman was provided medical assistance but sadly died at the scene.

Initial inquiries indicate the woman had stopped and exited her vehicle when it began to roll.

Police are investigating the cause and preparing a report for the Coroner.

There are no suspicious circumstances.
