Police investigate Bridgewater incident

Police are investigating an incident which occurred in Newbury Place, Bridgewater around 10.30pm last night.

It’s alleged a man wearing motorcycle clothing attended a residential address containing three occupants and allegedly produced a firearm. The man demanded property from the occupants, before fleeing the area prior to police arrival. The firearm was not discharged and no one was injured during the incident.

The man was described as approximately 170 cm tall, solid build. The motorcycle clothing he was wearing was white with orange writing on it and he was wearing a motorcycle helmet to hide his face.

Police were contacted and attended shortly afterwards and a search was conducted for the offender and firearm, however neither have been located by police at this time.

Police are treating the matter seriously, however, believe this to be a targeted matter and there is no evidence to suggest the greater public are at risk of being subjected to similar behaviour.
