Police Investigate Bridgewater Fire Deemed Deliberately Lit
A police investigation is underway in relation to a Bridgewater structure fire early this morning which has been deemed deliberately lit.
Examinations conducted by Forensic Officers and members of the Tasmania Fire Service have determined the fire at 40 Bisdee Road around 1am this morning was deliberate.
“Although the property was unoccupied at the time of the fire, it was privately owned and in the process of being sold,” said Senior Constable Daniel Moore from Bridgewater CIB.
“Around $200,000 damage has been caused to the property, and I urge anyone who can assist police with their investigation to contact us.”
“Fires of this nature are not only costly to the property owners, but to the community as a whole.”
Anyone with information in relation to the fire is encouraged to contact Bridgewater CIB on 6230 2111 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at crimestopperstas.com.au or phone 1800 333 000.
