About 8.20am on Friday 18 November 2011 a man approached a 12 year old school boy in the grounds of Ogilvie High School. The boy goes to school nearby.

The man grabbed the boy’s backpack but fled after the boy struggled.

The man is approximately 172 cm in height, medium build, a ginger to blonde goatee beard without a moustache. He was wearing a blue hoodie jumper with a ‘DC’ logo, grey jeans with holes in both knees, green and black ‘high top’ boots, and red and black finger-less gloves. The man was wearing the hoodie over his head.

The man was driving a dark blue Holden four door utility with black rims and missing hubcaps. There weres scratches near the fuel tank cap.

Police are treating the incident as serious and investigations will continue. Any information that might help identify the man should be telephoned to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
