Police encourage responsible behaviour for AFL Grand Final
Police are encouraging anyone celebrating the AFL Grand Final tomorrow night to do so responsibly and safely.
“With AFL Grand Final Day traditionally busy for Tasmania Police, we’re urging anyone celebrating the match tomorrow to do so responsibly,” said Inspector Brian Edmonds.
“While tomorrow’s grand final will be somewhat different with a night match, as with previous years police will be out and about across the state making sure everyone is celebrating safely.
“If you’re planning on drinking, please remember to look after your mates and never get behind the wheel of a vehicle if you’re under the influence.”
Police will patrol entertainment precincts state-wide and the community that antisocial, drunk, and unruly behaviour won’t be tolerated by police.
“Police want everyone to enjoy their Grand Final day celebrations tomorrow and get home safely.”
