Police continue to investigate Bridgewater shooting
Investigations are continuing into a shooting in Albion Road, Bridgewater, on Thursday 13 December 2018 at 7.30 pm.
A 26 year old man was shot in the lower body in what police describe as a targeted attack by someone known to him.
The man was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery this morning. The man remains in hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.
Detective Inspector Craig Joel said: ‘Police are appealing for information about the movements of two cars, a silver Mitsubishi Lancer and a green Hyundai sedan immediately prior to and after the shooting. The green Hyundai was located by police nearby and has undergone forensic examination’.
The occupants of the vehicles are believed to have shot at the man.
Detective Inspector Joel said: ‘It is possible the two cars may have been to a shop or passed a CCTV camera in the local area and we are grateful to those witnesses from the Bridgewater community who have already come forward with valuable information’.
