Police call for witnesses to Lyell Highway crash

Tasmania Police is seeking witnesses to a crash where a white Toyota utility, travelling towards New Norfolk was forced off the road near Rowbottoms Road on the Lyell Highway at Granton on 21 May 2018 around 5:30 pm.

A dark coloured, small-medium sized car veered onto the incorrect side of the road in front of the utility. The utility was forced to take evasive action to avoid a head on collision which resulted in the utility crashing.

The other vehicle continued to travel towards Hobart.

The driver of the vehicle was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries and was released from hospital in the following days.

Police are calling for the driver of the small-medium sized vehicle, and any witnesses to come forward.
