Police actively investigating GoPro taken from fatal crash scene
Tasmania Police would like to thank the public for the multiple reports already received concerning the fatal crash in Launceston in the early hours of Sunday morning involving a Suzuki Swift and a motorcycle.
Police are still actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this crash and again appeal to the public for the missing GoPro, which was removed from the scene, to be handed in to police.
Police are aware that a recording from the GoPro has been circulating on social media which is causing unnecessary stress to the family and loved ones of those involved.
“Not only is the footage crucial evidence in relation to the coronial investigation into the man’s death, but it’s creating further distress to the deceased man’s family at what is an already difficult time,” Sergeant Terry Reaney said.
Any information surrounding the location of the GoPro can been submitted anonymously, through Crime Stoppers or to the Northern Road and Public Order Services on 67773866.
