Pizzakom Robbery

At about 2am this morning two armed men entered the local Launceston take-away ‘Pizzakom’ in Charles Street, Launceston. One of the men was reportedly carrying a firearm.

They threatened the proprietor and demanded that he hand over cash.  

The men left empty handed, running from the business and jumping into a waiting stolen 1988 white Subaru station wagon parked out the front. 

The station wagon was found a short time later to be on fire at Blackstone Heights.

One of the men is described as about 5’8 tall, medium build, wearing a dark hooded jumper and light coloured trousers. The second man is described as 6’1 tall, athletic wearing a grey jumper with the hood up and dark trousers. Both men were wearing balaclavas.

Police are interested in speaking with anyone who saw the men or the 1988 white Subaru station wagon in the area at the time.
