Sadly a 70-year-old Queensland man has died after being struck by a falling branch in Tarraleah this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene on the Lyell Highway about 8:10am, following reports a person had been injured.

He was provided medical treatment at the scene, but sadly did not survive his injuries.

Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
