Pedestrian injured – Launceston CBD
Police are investigating a crash between a car and a pedestrian in the Launceston CBD this morning.
Around 10:30am Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Charles and Elizabeth Streets where a Lilydale lady in her 80s received serious injuries.
She was treated at the scene by Ambulance Tasmania Paramedics and transported to the Launceston General Hospital.
An investigation is being conducted into the cause of the crash. Early indications are that the driver’s inattention may have been a contributing factor. At this stage no charges have been laid.
