Pedestrian injured

Hobart CBD Just after 9am today police received a report of a pedestrian being hit by a truck on Collins Street, Hobart.

An 83 year old man from Howrah sustained leg injuries during the incident and is being treated in hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately two hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The circumstances around the incident are still being determined. Police spoke to a number of witnesses at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the pedestrian prior to the incident and hasn’t spoken to police already is asked to contact police on 131 444.
