About 10:35am on Tuesday 17 May 2011, a 36 year old female pedestrian from Longford was hit by a vehicle as she was  crossing Cimitiere Street at the intersection of George Street.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Launceston General Hospital for observation.

The 74 year old female driver from Invermay involved in the collision stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
