Launceston floods update
The flood threat to low lying areas of Launceston has eased, however water levels are expected to remain high throughout the weekend.
Launceston flood update – 5.30 a.m.
Police and SES have continued to monitor water levels and flood levees in the South and North Esk Rivers overnight. No problems have been detected in the Launceston area. The Tamar River at Launceston is expected to peak between 7am and 10am. High tide is at 7.10 am and will raise the levels by 0.45 m.
