On Thursday 10th May 2012 at about 9.13am a fatal crash has occurred on Ringarooma Road about 2km East of Legerwood.

Illegal Divers Detected

In the early hours of Thursday 10th May a surveillance flight detected illegal divers operating within the Tinderbox Marine Reserve.

Radio Dispatch Services (RDS) Operations

Radio Dispatch Services (RDS) provides the link between the community and the police services they need. There has been no reduction in staff numbers in RDS. RDS is staffed by 59 full-time equivalent positions (since 2009).

Car crashes into house

At approximately 10.05 am today 7/5/12, a 85 year old Smithton woman was driving from a unit she had visited in Emmett Street through the shared driveway.
