Tasmania Police detected a total of 88 offences over the weekend of Operation Unite: A Blitz Against Drunken Violence. Operation Unite was run over the Friday and Saturday nights (2-3 Dec) in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie and Devonport.

Arson charges
On Thursday 17 November 2011, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a structure fire at the Church of Christ in Howrah. While the fire was quickly extinguished by fire officers, the office sustained considerable damage as a result.

Police are currently searching for a 73 year old female, Norma Jean YOUD dob 10/1/1938, who went missing in the Claremont area on 1st December 2011.

Operation Unite – 2 December 2011
Operation Unite, the campaign against binge drinking and violence, returns this weekend (2 December 2011). Tasmania Police want to ensure everyone can enjoy a night out that is not marred by the consequences of risky drinking behaviour.
