Plans – New Glenorchy Police Station
Tasmania Police is progressing plans for a new police station in Glenorchy. The former Harvey Norman building on Main Road (Glenorchy) has been identified as a site with the potential to incorporate the Glenorchy Divisional Headquarters.
Operation Crossroads
Tasmanians are being urged to play a part in keeping the State’s roads fatality and injury free this Christmas / New Year period. Police will conduct additional high visibility patrols and operations on highways and major arterial roads.
U-Turn Graduation Ceremony
Two families will benefit from new skills acquired by a group of young people graduating from the U-Turn program (aimed to assist young people who are at risk of becoming involved in criminal activity) on 20 December 2012.
Death – Wentworth Park
At approximately 10.00am on 17 December 2012 police were notified that the body of a deceased male had been located.
Names Released
Police have released the names of the two persons who died as a result of the incident at Hamilton Plains Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Play it Safe this Festive Season
The Police Minister has appealed to Tasmanians’ sense of mateship to avoid serious crashes this festive season. Police will target high risk driver behaviours that are the main causes of crashes: including speeding and driving under the influence.
Burglary Charges
Hobart CIB Detectives have charged a 30 year old man from Blackmans Bay with two counts of burglary and stealing.
Stolen Trailer
Thieves in Latrobe have stolen and trailer containing a large amount of hand and power tools.
Deceased Male – Wentworth Park Howrah
Approximately 10.00am this morning, police were notified that the body of a deceased male had been located in the sand dunes near Wentworth Park.
