Waddamana Area – Missing Persons Located

Tasmania Police have now located all four men, initially reportedly missing in the Waddamana area since 6th June. The men were all located safe and well.

Waddamana Area – Concern For Welfare Of Three Men (Update)

On the 6th of June 2014, police were alerted that four men staying in bushland in the Waddamana area, near Bothwell were overdue and may have become lost. Whilst one male has since been located, alive and well, the remaining three males are still missing.

Police are investigating the theft of 14 registered firearms and a vehicle following the burglary of a residence in Newstead, Launceston yesterday.

Graffiti Offenders identified

Over the past 2 weeks Hobart Police have identified 4 serial graffiti offenders, who are alleged to be responsible for over $20,000 damage to buildings and vehicles within the Hobart CBD.

High Tech Tickets for Tasmania Police

In the first of its kind in Australia, on-the-spot paper tickets issued by police will be a thing of the past. Tasmania Police has developed a mobile app, the PINS, so police can issue infringement notices electronically on tablet computers.
