P2 driver charged with high range drink driving – 0.163

On the evening of Friday 27 August 2021 police intercepted a Mazda sedan in Strahan for a random breath test.

The 28 year old female driver from southern Tasmania was the holder of a P2 licence requiring to have a zero alcohol reading.

The P2 driver subsequently returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.163.

She was arrested, charged and bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.

She was issued with a Road Safety Disqualification Notice which immediately disqualified her from driving for a period of 24 months.
