About 1700hrs yesterday the Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated to search for a 53 year old NSW woman who was reported to be suffering a heart attack on the Overland Track approx 10km south of Dove Lake. 

The helicopter mission was aborted due to cloud cover over the area, and a land party consisting of police, SES and a wilderness paramedic was activated.

They located the woman on the track about 1am and carried her to Dove Lake where she was then flown to the North West Regional Hospital in a stable condition.
