Two overdue divers have been rescued from waters at Bicheno a short time ago.

Police and emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and multiple recreational vessels, had been searching waters near Alligator Rock, just off the Bicheno foreshore, for the missing divers- a 24 year old woman and a 25 year old man, both from Howrah.

The search was launched after the pair was diving together in the area at 10.15am and failed to return at 11am as planned.

The pair was safely located a short time ago.
