Unfortunately there was another fatal crash yesterday at Powranna Road, Powranna which brings the total for Operation Crossroads to three, which is the same as this time last year.  It is pleasing to see there have been no serious crash in the past three days and only one minor crash where a postman was briefly admitted to hospital after he was blown from his motorcycle delivering mail during  high winds experienced in the state’s south yesterday.

Reports have also been received today of four people being caught drink driving on New Years Day leaving the Port Sorell and Devonport area the morning after a big night of drinking.  All believed they would be under the limit after New Year’s Eve celebrations and were caught driving over the limit.  One driver was a provisional license holder.
