A one-year-old boy who was removed from the Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland on Thursday has been located safe and well with his two-year-old brother in Tasmania.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.

No persons have been charged and Queensland Police maintain carriage of this investigation.
