Officer faces Prohibited Behaviour charge

A Tasmania Police Constable, based in Launceston, will be proceeded against by summons on a charge of Prohibited Behaviour, under s21 of the Police Offences Act 1935.

It will be alleged that on 23 November 2014 the 22 year old man indecently exposed himself in a female public toilet in the Campbell Town municipality.

He was not on duty at the time of the alleged incident.

He has been stood down from duty on full pay and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on a date to be determined.

It is inappropriate to make any further comment at this time.
