Offender Charged – Damage at the Glenorchy Police Station
A 35 year old Glenorchy man has been charged following an incident which resulted in $10,000 damage to several buildings including the Glenorchy Police Station.
Members from Glenorchy CIB and Glenorchy Uniform launched an investigation following the incident. The offender was identified and subsequently located by Police in New Town at approximately 12.50pm on Friday 29 July 2016 following information received.
The man has also been charged in relation to similar damage caused at a business in Derwent Park and a private residence in New Town, along with related traffic offences.
The damage caused by the offender in the commission of all these offences has been estimated to be at least $10,300.
The man has been charged by Glenorchy CIB and detained for court, scheduled to appear in an out of hours court later tonight.
