An 18-year-old Lindisfarne man has had his motorcycle seized for 28 days and will face court after being detected speeding at 50km/h over his restricted limit at Primrose Sands today.

Just before 10am the Novice P1 motorcycle rider was detected travelling at 130km/h on his 80km/h limit on Primrose Sands Road.

Police on mobile patrol intercepted the rider on Fulham Road after he initially showed an intention to not stop for police.

The man will appear before the court at a later date.
