There is no record of a family member attending Glenorchy Police Station on September 12, 2009 to report prostitution of a 12-year-old girl.

Police have today spent time with the family member referred to in the ABC story in a bid to clarify the matter.  He advises that he cannot recall when he gave items to police and doesn’t know why the ABC refers to September 12.  He says that he handed an advertisement to police but this may have been before or after Devine was charged.  Devine was charged on November 4, 2009.  Police have a record of the family member providing correspondence in March 2010 relating to another member of the girl’s family.
