New Constables commence duty in Launceston
Twelve newly graduated Constables commence duty with Launceston Police today.
“Following graduation at the Police Academy last Friday, twelve new Constables commence duty at Launceston Police Station today,” said Inspector Ruth Orr.
“The six women and six men are ready to put their training into action, serving and protecting the Launceston community.”
The new Constables will commence on 24-hour shift-work, guided and mentored by experienced officers, as they put their training into practice in operational police duties.
“On behalf of Launceston Police, I welcome the new Constables and wish them well as they commence what I’m sure will be an enjoyable and rewarding career,” said Inspector Orr.
