National Missing Persons Week
Police are currently reviewing the investigation into missing person Barry John Petersen.
Mr Petersen was last seen approximately 11.00pm on 5 January 1992, leaving an address in Short Street, Glebe. Aged 37 at the time of his disappearance, Mr Petersen was described as being about 178 cm tall, of medium build, with wavy brown hair and hazel eyes, wearing green track pants, white running shoes and a jumper.
Mr Petersen has made no contact with family since his disappearance.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Mr Petersen. This is a standard review being conducted in accordance with Tasmania Police investigative procedures, in relation to historical missing person cases,” said Constable Elise Clark, of Hobart Police Station.
