Members of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community will be conducting their annual NAIDOC Week street march through the Burnie central business district today from 12:30pm.

Tasmania Police will be providing escort duties for the march to ensure the safety of participants and other road users. It is envisaged that only minor delays will occur.

Motorists are requested to exercise patience and obey directions of police officers in order for this event to be a success.

The march will travel along the following streets;

Alexander St, Cattley St, Mount St, Wilmot St, Wilson St and Ladbrooke St
