Just before 11 o'clock last night police went to a unit in Baintree Avenue, Dynnyrne,

They were acting on a call from a mother concerned for the welfare of her daughter.  When police arrived at the unit, they found the body of a 29 year old man in a laundry outbuilding.

The body of a 24 year old woman was found inside the unit.  The woman had knife wounds.

Police say the two were in a relationship and there had been a disagreement.

Police are satisfied that the deaths are the result of a murder – suicide and that no other person was involved.
