Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a motorcyclist evaded police on the Midland Highway near Bridgewater this afternoon.

The motorcyclist – riding a black classic style motorcycle wearing a red helmet and black jacket – was accompanied by a pillion passenger.

The motorcyclist evaded police whilst they were travelling south on the Midland Highway between the McDonald’s and East Derwent Highway roundabouts about 2.10pm today.

A number of motorists had to take evasive action as a result of the motorcyclist’s riding behaviour.
