Police are investigating a single motorcycle crash on Sheffield Road, Lower Barrington, in which a 55 year old East Devonport man died.

Police and emergency services were called to a crash near Don Hill on Sheffield Road about 11.40am today.

Investigations are continuing regarding the cause of the crash and a report is being prepared for the Coroner. Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Initial investigations indicate that the motorcycle lost control negotiating a right hand bend.

Police including Forensics, Crash Investigation and Railton, Latrobe and Devonport Uniform assisted at the scene.
