Motorcycle crash – West Tamar Highway, Legana 16/9/17
About 5:50 pm on Saturday 16 September 2017, a motorcycle travelling north on West Tamar Highway failed to negotiate the roundabout at Acropolis Drive.
The rider, a 41 year old male, was conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition and later flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Initial investigations indicate that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Police would like to speak with any person who witnessed a black, late model Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling in a northerly direction on the West Tamar Highway between Riverside and Legana around the time of the crash.
