On Wednesday the 15th of September 2010 a televised news segment relating to the riding of unregistered motorbikes on public streets in Launceston resulted in charges being laid against a Launceston youth.

The youth and a stolen registered motorbike where identified from the segment. The youth has been charged with motor vehicle stealing and a number of traffic related offences.

Investigations into the matter are continuing and further charges are expected to be laid.
