Crash M/V Pedestrian, Bass Highway, Wivenhoe.

On the 8/04/2014 at approximately 00:56hrs police were called to attend an address on the Bass Highway, Wivenhoe in relation to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

Tasmania Ambulance Service personnel were working to stabilise the pedestrian at the scene, when police arrived.

The pedestrian was identified as a 34 year old man from Burnie.  He was taken to the North West Regional Hospital for further consultation where he was stated to be in a stable but serious condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
