Approximately 2.45pm on Thursday 2 November 2017 police attend a five vehicle crash on the Brooker Highway at Glenorchy, just prior to Elwick Road.  A white Ford Falcon sedan travelling south through the intersection with Elwick Road has crossed to the incorrect side of the road colliding head-on with a green Ford Falcon traveling north.  The female driver of the white Ford sedan received significant injuries and was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The male driver of the green Ford sedan received minor injuries and was also conveyed to the hospital.  Three other vehicles were also involved and received minor vehicle damage only with no injuries to the occupants.

Tasmania Police Crash Investigators and Forensic Service personnel attended and examined the scene.  The cause of the crash is not known at this stage and investigations are continuing.
