At about 10:30am on Sunday the 25^th of November 2012, a black Suzuki motorcycle was involved in a crash on Macquarie Road, approximately 3 kilometres North of Campbell Town. As a result a 50 year old male rider was transported to the Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition and underwent surgery for internal injuries.

It is believed the rider was in the company of a group of other motorcycle riders at the time of the accident. Tasmania Police are contuining investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash and request anyone that witnessed the accident, or the riding behaviour of the riders anytime prior to the accident, to contact police on 63363701.
