Moonah bus surfing incident charges laid

Officers from Southern Road and Public Order Services have today charged a 33 year old male from Lutana with offences relating to an alleged bus surfing incident that occurred in Moonah on 4th April 2016.

 

Following an investigation by Police, the offender has been interviewed and will be charged with a number of offences relating to the incident.  Senior Constable Richard Verney says “This type of behaviour is both foolhardy and dangerous.  It places not only the individual at risk, but other members of the public and sets a bad example to others.”

 

Tasmania Police would like thank members of the public that provided information leading to the identification of the person shown on social media riding on the rear of a bus.
