Missing person update – James Lee Osborn

Tasmania Police has been investigating the disappearance of James Lee Osborn, 62 of Mount Nelson, who disappeared early on Thursday morning (30 June 2016).

 

Earlier today, an extensive air and land search of bushland around Mount Nelson was undertaken, involving search and rescue teams and volunteers from the SES and Mount Nelson community.

 

Police this afternoon received information in relation to a man believed to be Mr Osborn, and moved the search area to the Hobart waterfront.

 

Police divers discovered the body of a deceased person – who is yet to be identified- in waters off a boat ramp.

 

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mr Osborn’s disappearance are continuing.

 

Mr Osborn was last seen wearing black jeans, black shoes and possibly a purple rain jacket.

 

He is described as balding with a short grey pony tail, around 175cm tall, of slim build with blue eyes and fair complexion.
