Missing person John Norrish was located by a search party at approximately 11:25am 21/9/2014. He had been missing for over 24 hours. He was disorientated, distressed and suffering minor injuries. He was treated by a Tasmanian Ambulance Officer and clear to return home.

It is apparent that Mr Norrish lost his way whilst checking the tide and once in thick bushland was unable to find his way back to his camp site.

Police would like to thank all volunteers for assistance with the search operation. In particular the volunteers from State Emergency Services and Surf Life Saving Tasmania.
