Missing Launceston man David Mehegan has been located alive and well after being reported missing yesterday.

Police located Mr Mehegan in the Launceston CBD as a result of information provided by the public.

“I would like to thank everybody who called us in response to Mr Mehegan’s whereabouts,” said Sergeant Scott Mackenzie.

“The Launceston community really came together to help us find him and as a result of information provided by the public, he has been located and is safe and well.”
