MISSING PERSON BEN PLOWRIGHT – UPDATE 15/6/15
The search for missing Launceston man, Ben Plowright, will continue today.
Police will today concentrate their efforts on properties that were unable to be searched over the weekend to ensure that they are satisfied Ben is not in the immediate area.
Saturdays search consisted of over 250 people including police, SES, and volunteers. Over 1000 properties and yards were searched in the Perth area as well as roads, tracks, railway and rivers out to a 5km radius.
Resources used include the Search and Rescue Helicopter, remote control drones, trail bikes, quad bikes, horses and dogs.
In line with normal police procedure the investigation will be reviewed by the Northern CIB. Police do not believe that any criminal element is involved however all avenues must be explored.
A media conference will be held by Commander Brett Smith at Launceston Police Headquarters on Tuesday 16/6/15 at 3pm.
