Missing person Andrew Jarman
Police are continuing to investigate the whereabouts of Latrobe man Andrew John Jarman.
35 year old Mr Jarman failed to return home after going for a bicycle ride on Sunday 19 August 2012 in the Latrobe area.
Police and Mr Jarman’s family are concerned for his welfare.
Mr Jarman is 180 cm tall and of medium build. He has short dark hair with a moustache and beard with several days’ growth. He has brown eyes and a ruddy complexion.
He is believed to be wearing a white top with a red/white/blue jumper, dark blue pants and a cap with the letter “b” on it. He was riding a white “Cyclops” mountain bike and was wearing a red/black “Met” brand bicycle helmet.
Mr Jarman was seen at about 1pm riding in the Warrawee Reserve towards Latrobe. A second witness has reported maybe seeing Mr Jarman in Hamilton St, Latrobe at 4.15 pm on Sunday 19 August. There was also a possible sighting of Mr Jarman on Kimberley Road near the bridge.
Today police are continuing to search the Warrawee Reserve. Police are also utilising the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter in searching the area.
Police are requesting that any members of the public who may have been riding a bicycle in the vicinity of the Warrawee Reserve, Shale Road and Hamilton Street Latrobe and Railton road between Kimberley and Railton on Sunday afternoon on the 19th August 2012 to please make contact with Tasmania Police on 131 444.
Police are particularly interested in contacting a cyclist who was spoken to by police on the corner of Gilbert Street and Hamilton Street on the evening of August 19.
