Assault and Stealing – New Town 22 October 2014

Hobart CIB are currently investigating an assault on a woman at Cornelian Bay yesterday evening.  It is alleged that the mobile phone from the woman was taken and disposed of in the New Town area (possibly near the bike track).  The phone is described as a white Samsung phone with a pink flip cover.

A 24 year old Port Huon man has been charged over the incident and has been bailed with conditions to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a late date.

Investigators have been unable to locate the phone and ask that anyone finding a mobile phone in that area to contact police on 131 444.
