Tasmania Police have confirmed a body located earlier today near the Waterworks Reserve as missing man Blake Newton.

Mr Newton’s body was found by a search party in bushland about one kilometre south of the Reserve.

There are no suspicious circumstances to the death and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Police would like to thank volunteers for their assistance, and extend their sympathies to Mr Newton’s family.
