3 police boats, the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter, 11 SES volunteers, police and civilian volunteers have commenced land, sea and air searches this morning for a missing kayaker.

The Kayaker, a 27 year old man from Adelaide, set out from the Dover Jetty at 4pm yesterday to take some photos.

He was reported overdue at 6.30pm.

The sea kayak was located at about 8.10pm last night, to the west of Hope Island, however no signs of the missing man.

Land searches will concentrate on the islands in the Port Esperance Bay this morning.

Conditions are currently mild and good.
