Medivac – Kitchen Hut, Cradle Mountain
On 10 December 2015 at approximately 3.25pm police responded to a Medivac Incident at Kitchen Hut, Cradle Mountain. A 63 year old Japanese Tourist had been walking along the Summit of Cradle Mountain with a group of friends when she lost her footing and fell 2 metres down an embankment, causing lacerations to her head.
The group, including the injured walker, walked to an area known as Kitchen Hut where they have notified emergency services. Western Search and Rescue officers entered the National Park on foot and walked the injured walker to the Dove Lake car park where she was handed over to Paramedics.
The walker was transported to the North West Regional Hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
