At 3:20pm on Thursday 24/11/11 the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter was activated to attend to a seriously injured man in Swansea. A 29 year old man from Kettering had suffered a fall at a building site at Swansea and had subsequent head and spinal injures.

The man was treated by an Ambulance Tasmania road crew before being airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
