Medivac at Cradle Mountain National Park

At 4.45pm on Tuesday 9th February 2016, police were notified of a woman who was participating in a six-day guided Overland Track walk and suffered a knee injury, preventing her from continuing any further.

The woman from NSW was on day one of the guided walk and twisted her knee at Plateau Creek, situated between Marions Lookout and Kitchen Hut.  The Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter was deployed, which collected her from the location and transported her to Hobart where she received medical attention.
